Do the arithmetic once, before you start: tokens per minute × your token price = dollars per minute. Multiply by how long you actually intend to stay. If that number is fine, enjoy it. If not, you found out for free.

Finding a room worth staying in

The default grid sorts by viewer count, which tells you what is busy and nothing about what is good. In a room with two thousand viewers your message will not be read. This section rewards going the other way more than most.

• Aim for 20 to 200 viewers. Enough activity to have momentum, quiet enough that the performer reads chat and answers.
• Read the bio first. Rates, boundaries, what the room does and does not do. Most people who get muted asked for something the bio had already ruled out.
• Watch for two minutes before typing. How someone handles the existing chat tells you more than any description will.
• Use the tag filters, not the front page. Bear, twink, jock, daddy, couples, muscle — the categories are granular and they cut straight through the popularity sort.
• Follow the ones you like. Cam schedules are regular, so following means catching the room live rather than scrolling a grid again.

Chat etiquette that actually matters

Camming is a service business and the social rules sit closer to a bar than a video site. Greet the room rather than opening with a demand. Read the bio so you are not asking for something already declined. Keep negotiation out of public chat — if you want something specific, the private show is where that conversation belongs.

One thing worth saying plainly for this section: a performer's identity, their relationship, or who they go home to is not small talk, and neither is anyone's status.
